What drives the price up or down
- Wall substrate — heritage render and tilt-slab need custom anchors
- Height above four metres — adds licensed rigging and aerial work
- Illuminated versus non-illuminated — lighting is roughly thirty percent of build cost
- Distance from Bendigo — freight scales with kilometres, not sign size
- Show footprint and rigging rules — a small hall costs less than a hall with weight limits
- Number of letters or characters — payment is per letter on channel sets
Deposits and payments
Signage and stand builds require a fifty percent deposit to lock the schedule and order materials. The balance is invoiced within seven days of install or bump-in. Every illuminated build is issued with a Certificate of Electrical Safety on install day.

Send a photo of the shopfront or the exhibition floorplan and stand size. That's enough for us to tell you which band you'll fall into.

Site visit or floorplan review
Local jobs get a free site measure within Greater Bendigo and metro Melbourne. Interstate jobs we review from photos and the venue floorplan.

Drawing and material schedule
A PDF proof of elevations and materials, with every item listed by name and price. Approve it or ask for changes — no charge either way.

Fixed quote issued
One number, one document. Freight, venue fees and any council lodgement costs shown as separate lines so you can see what's ours and what isn't.

Schedule lock-in
Fifty percent deposit confirms the build slot in the workshop schedule. You get a written install date or bump-in window at the same moment.

Pricing in the fabrication industry has a reputation problem. Quotes climb mid-job, extras appear on the final invoice and no one can point to where the money went. We've built our commercial model to avoid that. Every number we give you is a number we can defend line by line.

Pricing FAQs
The questions that usually come up before a quote is signed
If you're comparing three quotes, these answers will tell you which one actually covers what you'll need.
The two biggest culprits are acrylic grade and LED driver type. Extruded acrylic and constant-voltage drivers can halve the material cost of an illuminated sign, but they also give you a build that yellows and flickers within four years. We only quote cast acrylic and constant-current drivers, which is what pushes our entry numbers up.
Site visits inside Greater Bendigo and metro Melbourne are free if you go ahead with the build. If you cancel after the measure, we invoice a flat $220 to cover the trip and drawing time. For regional Victoria we charge mileage at cost, credited back on the first invoice if the job proceeds.
Yes, if the build schedule allows it. We can set the deposit in one year and the balance in the next where the install slips across a financial year boundary. Talk to us when you request the quote and we'll build the timeline around your accounts department.
Reuse a frame rather than buying a new one. On exhibition stands that saves around forty percent on the second show. On signage, if your shopfront is well-lit already, going non-illuminated on a side fascia sign instead of adding a second lightbox is a clean way to trim costs without touching the construction quality.
Installation is included on all signage builds within our standard install zone and on all exhibition stand builds at the show venue. Interstate installs are charged at cost plus eight percent on freight and crew, always shown as a separate line so you can see the number.
We pass it through at cost with the venue's invoice attached to ours. Rigging fees, power connections, stand cleaning and organiser levies are common. We flag them on the original quote as estimates so you're never surprised, and we only bill the actual amount the venue charges.
